Ultrasound Training Course in Malawi

We recently sent a team of attendings and residents over to Blantyre, Malawi. We rotated over a 2 month period to provide coverage for ultrasound training and engage in clinical practice in a large regional hospital. The training was well received and we were able to help diagnose and treat some serious pathology, particularly with the use of ultrasound. Our group included Heather Brown (class of 2011), Laura Nolting ('11 fellow), Amanda Stratton ('20), Amanda Irish (current GH fellow), Josh Skaggs ('13), Dan Baker ('19), as well as four of our residents - Halley Alberts, Will Frasier, Chris Poggi, and Brantley Dick. Carly Brady ('17) practices full time in Malawi and we were excited to work together with her. We are hoping to continue this meaningful partnership for years to come. If any of our alumni are interested in engaging in similar training and volunteer work in the future, you are welcome to join!

ACEP 2022 Alumni Reunion

We had a fun time in San Francisco with some of our PHR alumni joining our current senior residents at ACEP. The classes of 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2022 were represented. Zach Hunter (class of 2021) is finishing his PEM fellowship at Wake Forest and will be joining us at Richland next year. It is always great catching up and reminiscing on past and present experiences.
